Who we are?

Cartagena Convention Bureau

Cartagena Convention Bureau (OCC) as a part of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas (Cartagena Port of Cultures) is responsible for promoting Cartagena as the ideal destination for congresses, conventions and incentive trips.

Its main objective is to promote and support all kinds of professional meetings in the city, offering free and neutral advice to the event organizers.

Within this organization private sector companies collaborate to provide services to those events carried out in the city.

What we do?

Cartagena Convention Bureau

The work of the Cartagena Convention Bureau is focused on activities to promote Cartagena as a city for meetings, as well as advisory actions for planning and organising events and meetings, and acting as the go-between for the organisers, public institutions and associates.

The services offered by the Cartagena Convention Bureau include:

PROMOTION

Carrying out promotional activities for the city, designed to advertise meetings tourism in Cartagena.

Advice

Offering advice about meeting venues, accommodation, cultural and activity programmes, service providers, travel agencies and any other professional services needed to hold an event in Cartagena.

Documentation

Preparing technical documentation to facilitate applications, as well as collaborating in the session for presenting them: preparing the application dossier, institutional reference letter and other documents, based on the requirements and characteristics of each meeting.

Inspection Visits

Organising and managing exploratory visits to the city of Cartagena, as requested by the event organisers.

Tourist information

Providing tourist materials about Cartagena to the event participants.

Communication

Collaborating to promote and disseminate details of the event in the media, online and on the Cartagena Convention Bureau’s social media pages.
